Getting Started with the BNC
Whether you're here for food support, to meet with someone, or to access campus and community resources, here's how to begin:
What is TBH?
TBH (To Be Honest) is our confidential case management system for all things Basic
Needs at SBCC.
It’s your personal hub where you can:
- Share what challenges you’re facing
- Get connected to support
- Ask questions and message with a Care Coordinator
- Track appointments, referrals, and updates
Complete the Basic Needs Intake Form
Before accessing any of our services, you’ll need to complete the Basic Needs Benefit
Screener. This helps us
understand how to best support you and automatically creates your TBH (our BNC Case
management system)
account.
- Log in with your SBCC Pipeline credentials
- Complete the screener
- Your TBH account allows you to make appointments, check in at the Food Pantry, and track our services.
Reap the Food Pantry Benefits
Once your TBH account is set up, you’re welcome to visit the Food Pantry during open hours.
- No appointment needed for walk-ins
- Be ready to check in using your TBH account at the front desk!
Location: SBCC Basic Needs Center (ECC-14) (past the Bookstore, in front of the WELL)
Connect with a Case Manager
Need help with housing, CalFresh, emergency grants, or just figuring out next steps?
- Schedule a one-on-one appointment through TBH to speak with someone from our team.
- Appointments are available in-person, on Zoom, or by phone.
Stay Connected
Stay in the loop about new resources, events, free food pop-ups, and more.
